You're going to need some bracing!
Good luck with the build!

Nice!1! lol now I really am considering these guys for a swap in my truck, I just priced that motor and wow..not a bad price at all, I just have to find a good automatic tranny to hold some power.

The 383 is such a sweet combination of bore and stroke. It is in many ways, the perfect motor

Thats not difficult. Head work starting with a good set of OEMs and at the minimum,Port Match and go with 2.02/1.60 Manley Valves, Hardened Seats and Double/Triple Springs. Compression Ratio in the 9.5 area. A nice Split Duration Cam, and top it off with a Balance job by someone who knows what he's doing.

Induction can be Spread Bore Eidelbrock for exellent off the line and good top end. That will get you in that 375 HP range pretty close.

AfterMarket Aluminum heads, Pro Port and Polish, Cam Play, Step up induction will increase that signifigantly.

Above mentioned mods are for a motor that will give you a good life expectancy with little chance of comeing apart--- A fun daily Driver.

But, as with anything, the skys the limit

Awesome....we can have an ARMY of super Z's....I am glad people are using Brian Hinson. It is his reputation for building FDs and 240s that led me in his direction. Man loves what he does....and yes

paypals are still being generously accepted!
