Default Engine upgrade VQHR

Is there anyone knows if it is feasible to buy an upgrade kit to modify a 2003 VQ35 to VQHR? I'm really interested to know if there is an existing nismo kit or something similar on the market today for track application. The Z would need to rev higher on corner exit on the track. The added 20 hp would also be great.
Thx

The new engine is 80% new internals, not to mention you need a new hood to clear the dual TB's. You would be better off selling your car and buying an 07

nope, and its not cost effective either.

youd need alot of new parts and money, might as well go fi or do some bolt ons

Just keep what you have and work on that. Makes no sence to trade up for a higher payment to only gain 20 hp.

Make sense. Any idea how to make it revolution higher? ... and keep good performance. I'm not thinking about removing the rev limiter but mods like cam shaft ...stroker kit or something like that?
Thx

Sounds like you need to do a little research. At least you've found the place to start looking around. Good luck to you.

In my own opinion though, i wouldn't waste your money on go fast parts for the Z unless you decide on FI. If it were me staying NA, i'd go with exhaust and maybe one or two other minor things. Then i'd go with suspension and wheels for performance (i don't consider these "go fast parts".) Again, just do some looking around. You'll find everything you need in posts that have already been talked about many times over.

you want to look to see what VQHR engine parts can go into our current VQDE engine. Similiar to how some of the B series Honda can benifit from replacing some of their engine parts from other B series engine parts.

you can build up the VQDE for higher revs - new valvetrain ought to do it. Not cheap though... Search for others - a few have built up their motors for 8k rpm

don't forget that when revving to 8k is considered easy task, the hard task is to make power to 8k otherwise your revving up for nothing.

Why not just spend the $$ on a built motor?

They used to make V8 kits for 280Z's... Maybe you could do something like that... <shruggs>
