This is how I reproduced it. In sixth gear, accelerate. Then let it slow down again and do it agian. Like 65-80 mph. IT should start to do it. Once you pop it out of 6th, the pressure comes back.

just did it in my 07 ethu 6mt...I think I might take it in. the clutch has been kind of acting up as of lately and ive only had my car for 1 month and this....Maybe its just me but ill keep trying it out on my drive home today and see whats up. And as to the whining sound, u should hear a little bit when ur car is decelerating at lower rpms but if its loud then something is WRONG

or their foot is getting stuck, that happened to me recently. I was wearin these big clod hoppin shoes, was workin the clutch and the pedal didn't come up, thought I was having this problem, then quickly realized my shoe was caught keeping the clutch pedal wedged down, duh, un-stuck it and blazed on my way...

I know I'm a noob, I think I know whether or not the peddle is stuck or not. I had to put my foot under the pedal and press up to get it to come back up, noob or not something is wrong there. There is no way that is safe.

Default my 07 350z is having clutch probs

My 2007 350 z is having the same problem, it has stuck to the floor under heavy loads 3 or 4 times now. At idle with my foot off the clutch, the throw out bearing rattles. It rattles so bad it sounds deisel, but as soon as I put the clutch to the floor at idle the noise stops. I took it to the dealer and the head mech said it is a problem. So we test drove a few other 07's and found the same noise, just not as pronounced. So he said he had the part in stock and to come back after bike week beacause all the good mechanics would be gone, ok. So then I go back and find out that 07 clutch is entirely diffrent and that they should have ordered the part when I fist came in. Then after going back and fourth between service, parts and the GM. I finally got their approval to order the part and have it installed under warranty. Only problem is that it is on back order. That was two weeks ago and they still have not got the part in. even if they do get the part in I fear it will just do the same thing. The car is still drivable and they say it is not hurting it to drive it (I wonder), but now I am struggling to get it in second at relativly low rpm's. Now it also has some noise that occurs like clockwork about a minute after starting the car, it sound like my moms ABS system on her ford explorer, or a cranky fuel pump, it kinda sounds like a two plastic gears grinding against eachother. I also just checked the tire pressure and found that it was twenty pounds over, I guess I should have checked it right after buying the car, but I figured the dealer would have checked stuff like that as soon as they got it. Well at least the tire pressure is an easy fix. I love the car but I am starting to get very discouraged. I would just get an after market clutch, but no one makes one yet for the 07. I feel like the factory clutch just can not handle the power, it seems like when I engage the clutch, the whole car just slows down to much, it also seems as if the clutch is still haning on a moment or two after I am done switching geears. I do love the car though and hope all this gets resolved. ps. this is a black on black base model no LSD.

I feel your pain. I went through the same thing. I was without mine for almost a month as it at in the shop. Call NISSAN1 to tell them your problems. They can help you more than just a dealership.

Some interesting things:

I know what noise you are talking about. After I back out of my garage and start going foward with my steering wheel turned right, it makes a noise. Kind if sounds like a metel spring. "boing" more like a "doing"

After replacing the clutch assembly on my car, I think the problem is coming back. Before the clutch sticking, I noticed what you said. The clutch seems to slip a bit as I change gears. The crispness is gone. Engagement is almost at the very end of the clutch travel, I dont have to even press the clutch in 25% of the way. And it is variable, engagement point seems to change. Variable also is the clutch pressure. Somestimes its tight and others its loose.

These are exactly what I felt the first time my car went in. That was at 1800. Now its at 3900 and it seems to be starting again.

I dont thing that the parts are defective. I think these parts are poorly engineered since there are others with the same problem.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is a design flaw.

Mine has actually gotten better with miles though, strange.

Still hasn't been left with Nissan, but I will leave it before the miles go over the 12K warranty.

How is it a design flaw if only a few are getting it? If that was the case, all 07s would suffer. So far my tranny is rock solid and shifts very smoothly, the only thing lacking are my clutching skills, plan on givin her a good romp this weekend!

Because about 1 in 3 are failing. That's a major problem.

Oh man, I hope I don't have this issue come up on my '07.
The only clutch qwirk I can think of is a "roughness" when I depress the pedal anytime over 3500rpm. Also, unless there's a little more than desirable gas (I don't like to give it more than it really needs - no need to overaccelerate since the car is new), when taking off from first I get a very slight vibration-like the flywheel might not be true (I had it happen to a 4Runner and it was never truly fixed, even after 3 flywheel replacements). Otherwise, it seems to be working ok.
Any word on a bulletin or recall at this point? A clutch that does not work properly is absolutely a safety related problem and needs fixing immediately.

I've seen this mentioned before, and maybe I'm missing some huge part of some huge puzzle, but don't these cars carry a 3/36k mi warranty? I'm sorry, but I think a clutch issue like this one falls clearly within the powertrain warranty. I've also hear about this adjustment period, blah blah blah...
Please explain the logic of 12k when my window sticker clearly says 3/36k?
