Is is possible to see what gains there are with two intakes or something? Like Nismo one side and one Injen on the other side or something? Is it also possible to dyno it with a space to see what it gets?

Yeah I would love to get some of these 80% new parts on my DE to get some gains.

+1. The VQ35HR is old news already. LOL. The VQ37HR w/VVEL is the motor to drool over.

Pre '07+ intakes don't fit.

they need to stop being soft with the engine power and just release the 380z Rs and make the 3.8 te new Z . If i was nissan i would stop playing games with the competetion and just be ahead of the game not be on par with it. Nissan better do the 3.8 man because that engine makes the HRs 3.5 and 3.7 look like amatures.

Had a chance to drive Jeremy's car yesterday. Two things struck me immediately:

1) The engine is very smooth and strong ALL the way to redline....unlike the reg VQ35 that gets a little tired and buzzy.

2) The new transmission is vastly improved. Unbelievably improvement in a big way. All the gears engagement like butter, and downshifting is a breeze. No fighting for the gates....just slides right into place.

well i look at it this way, i dyno'd at 265, say i add test pipes and exhaust, that puts me at 285ish, i really doubt that headers are gonna make much of an improvement considering the pile of crap the de headers were and the aftermarket couldn't get much gains out of anything better. the hr headers are tubular with collectors, so i don't see much of an improvement there. so what else could i bolt on to make another 15whp to get to the magic 300whp, i suppose when someone cracks the new ecu, we maybe able to gain a decent amount with a reflash, but untill that point i don't see much happening

sorry i'm just bitter cause i lost a race to a turbo'd riced out civic, i need more power

Those are dynojet numbers. The dyno's posted here are on a dyno dynamics machine which dyno's less like the original poster said.

i dyno'd my 07 on a dyno jet and got 265 like it says in my sig, so the 07 z and the e46 m3 is comparable as far as dyno numbers go
