Not worth doing it with a vq, use something that is cheaper to buildup. lsX, sr20.........

hehe, you probably dont want OUR 6 speeds, lots of em have issues.

evo mr's have 6 speeds and will be cheaper to mod

why transplant into a truck though, why not something like a 240sx?

hp hp hp. i need at least 300 hp. i could stick a turbo on 240 or 300 but that severely limits the life of the engine. what goes wrong with your 6 spd?

It will end up costing more than you think and it will be a tuff sell in the future when you want to upgrade. It will indeed be cool though..

35oz? Of what? Malt liquor?

Making a frankenstein is easiest with the SR20 out of all the Nissan engines, IMO

I think it's original. Definitely try it, and let us know how it goes. I imagine you better be prepaird for a lot of custom work.
If everyone did the same thing, the world would be pretty boring don't you think? Give it a try!

That would be pretty neat. There is a guy on J-tuned that has a mitsu truck with a turbo motor or some sort of swap. Pretty neat, imo.

I've already seen a HardBody with a SR20DET swap. The VQ is great and all but the SR should slide right in considering the hard bodies had KAs and the SR RWD will fit and can be had for cheap. If you want a truck with a VQ go buy a new Frontier..

i think for all the time moola and hassles that will take, you wont be far off from a used 03.... assuming you have to take it somewhere to get done..

Dammit I can't find the link to the page showing all the work needed but several people have done SR20DETs into Frontiers and Hard Body's.

I dont think it so much the tranny. There is a sticky thread I believe in the FI section. Doing a comp. of our tranny to the getrag and others.

I think its more so the drivers than the trannys, and a little bit of both...
