Last week was officially the longest week at Forged Performance. We had several out of town customers picking up their cars, new cars coming in, and and previous 2wd dyno was packed up, and the AWD dyno was installed. Lots of 16 hour days/nights, pizza, and good times.

The DD AWD dyno installation consumed two full 12 hour days. The installation process is very involved, and requires a lot of heavy lifting, drilling, mounting, and assembling. I wanted to give a special thanks to Will and Steve from Dyno Dynamics for coming down, and installing and training the team on the new dyno.

We are still getting used to its full capabilities, but the new Windows Digital software and hardware interface is outstanding. Some of you have probably seen some of the new dyno charts we've be posting the past couple of days.

The dyno uses a bluetooth wireless command module, so we can control most of the dyno functions wirelessly from inside the vehicle. Coming this week, is an upgrade which includes full OBDII interface capability, so we can monitor and data log all OBDII parameters on the dyno!

I asked in a earlier thread somewhere . The DD dyno , does it read normally 7-8-9 % less than a DynoJet dyno ?

Runs on natural gas, and i think it makes about 10whp, and about 400ft/lb trq.

Thanks Bill. The new Dyno reads exactly the same as the old one. Anywhere from 7% to 13% higher, as long as you are using the same gear and STD atmo correction on both dynos.

We just baselined a bone stock 100% new OEM 2006 350Z. It baselined at 214whp....just for reference.

I havent operated a fork lift in over a decade. Moving the 2500lb beds around had me very very nervous. hehe

I tired doing some donuts in the parking lot, and I almost tipped the thing over!

Yes ..I was just wondering . I seen BamBam's dyno was like 547whp on your dyno and on a DyoJet he posted 587whp . With out doing the math..it looked like 7-8% .

Its always nice to get new toys for the garage !

Yeah, unforunately, our DynoJet test got cut short, due to a bad coil pack. We only made one pull on the DynoJet, then had to stop. My guess is it would have pick up a few more whp as things warmed up. When baselining, I usually see an improvement by the 3rd run...then the power drops off again. We'll do another back to back when BamBam brings his car back for the high boost tune.
