Default Dealer quoted me $250 to install a SS clutch line?

Haha So I called to find out how much the dealer would charge to install a SS clutch line and they quoted me $250.00 just for the labor. How crazy is that?
And I already have the clutch line and high temp fluid

Realistically speaking, a 2 hour job for them. Bring in the car, raise on the lift, disconnect, lower, disconnect, route, connect, raise, connect, fill res. Bleed.

85.00 an hour ? 200.00 ? to cover there *** ? Little Hi. DIY

The connections can be a PITA. Some use drive pins. Sounds simple and IS, but more to it than meets the eye for a kick *** clean job.

Is this on a '07 where it doesn't have a triditional slave cylinder? Rather the whole the unit throwout bearing/slave cylinder just sits in the tranny.

Then do it yourself and send me half the $250 for the advice. See you just saved $125.

If they went to that design ( Others have ) then as a rule the bleeder and the line connection are still on the exterior of the trans.

They are a PITA to bleed out

Took me maybe 30 minutes to replace the line with the Z on a lift, but about 1 1/2 hrs. to bleed the darn thing with new hi-temp fluid - lots & lots & lots of pedal pumping to get it fully operational... Well worth it after boiling the OEM fluid twice in a weekend at the Tail of the Dragon a couple years ago.

$250 sounds like a little too steep, but then again, it IS a dealership....

I meant pita if you are only one person doing the swap and bleed. You're right w/ the help of another it should take under an hour.

way too expensive....I think they just don't want to do it.

1.0-1.5 hour labor TOPS including bleeding the clutch.
