i dont know what these guys are smoking... Ls1's can put 325 with very cheap mods such as whisper lid and throttle body. you will need a good amount of mods. Also pray that he doesn't get a cam because then you are screwed. The camaro is just a much better car to make go as fast as you want to go. It is also a lot cheaper then the Z.

 

All the bolt-ons on my car could beat average or worse drivers in LS1's all day long, but not many guys running 107mph traps in Z's like I did and I only ever came across 1 good driver (IMO) who could beat me by 2 cars or so through 4th.

Your best bet is a nitrous kit, 100 shot and you will be 111-114mph trap. If you cant beat him with that check yourself you have palsy. If your too scared to spray start getting used to his tail-lights you'll be seeing them alot.

f/i = expensive

 

Add up N20 after 1 year of regular use (about 1 bottle/week) and tell me its "cheap", buddy of mine is now realize he coulda gone FI and without the headaches of bottle fills, correct pressures, etc.

 

we haven't talked bout it yet but i'm figuring at the track..its a 99 Ls1 and sounds kinda rough and ragged maybe
