Default HKS 450 hp crate engine

Anybody considering all stock power wothout any turbo's or any mods. I was reading on that crate motor, but couldnt find a price of what it would cost. ANybody out there know? I rather purchase a motor already internally modified, then add mods if I had to.

Same here... no crate motor. I would rather have a built motor too, but can it be driven everyday, and on normal petrol? Don't think so. So will have to settle for the pshhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

sorry guys, I meant to say nismo vq35 race engine. There is a pic on www.boomplustoys.net and look at the tokyo auto salon pics. The pictures of the engine is on page 13 bottom right. Just check all the pages, all the pics are good.

VQ35DE does have potential to make 450 HP without a turbo or two. It was put in NISMO's JGTC race car. These cars are for sale in Japan, anyone wants one???

I heard some say it was a tuned NA vq35, and I heard someone els say it's a vq38....

If it's a vq35, I wonder what they did to make it 450hp

One of the things they did was raise compression up to 13.1 I think. Some really high compression and of course they have all these other things to make the engine breath better. Not sure on specifics though.

I read on FA that the Nismo Race motor runs only on high octane race fuel and needs to be rebuilt frequently. Not exactly your daily driver.

The European Formula Renault V6 open wheeler series & next years Fran Am series use 3.5v6 Renault motors modified by Renault Sports.
With a modest 11to 1 CR, Magnet Marelli ECU, headers ext, they make 370 crank HP at a low for a race motor 7000rpm.
The motor is not a Renault but in fact the familiar VQ35DE motor that Nissan supplies to Renault for there big Vel Stratis sedan & Espace wagon

If you have about $10000 and 105 octane gas, this engine is just for you.
