Default bumping noise

Ok so lately i have heard a odd bumping noise that i thought may be the suspension. Sometimes it would come from the rear sometimes the front. It happens on some odd bumps i didn't even think i would, then it doesn't happen on bumps i am sure it would. I took it to the auto body shop i just had my car fix at (had a fender bender no damage except bumper i made sure) and they said it looks like my Topspeed Pro-1 exhaust is bumping on the cross member. Right around where the y-pipe connect the the exhaust (i have stock Y) the cross member goes across and the exhaust is bouncing on it. It started recently and they said its probably due to the flex joints that they after a while are more flexible and are causing the exhaust to move more now then before. They said i could go to an exhaust shop and have them make some mounts to bolt the exhaust in the area up so its not banging anymore but my question is does this seem accurate? If anyone else has experience with this happening then please gimme a little insight here.
