well i dunno if its normal or not. There is a sound from my engine bay area. When i step on the clutch the sound get a more quiet. The sound comin from the engine is not loud at all. Well just wondering if this sound is normal. Im thinkin it might be the input shaft. But i doubt it because the tranny is new. Do u guys have the same sound?

 

I have '07 with the same problem and believe it's normal. It has something to do with the fly wheel. I'm new to the Z, so I can't tell you more detail.

 

mine's kinda loud too when idle. car is just loud in general =)

 

The 350z is a loud car and my money is on the flywheel making all the noise. Its the culprit on my 06.

 

It's all normal... get used to all the cool sounds your sports car makes.

 

flywheel chatter. it gets louder when you upgrade to a lighter setup.
