Default Project Car Stage 2 - MREV2 & 5/16 inch spacer

We've just completed step 2 in our Project G35 Coupe. Installed a Motordyne MREV2 and 5/16" spacer and ran it on the dyno for a baseline and with UTEC tuning. The results speak for themselves: http://www.envisionelite.com/content...=1&pageid=4585

Vehicle has CAI, MREV2, and Spacer at this point. Exhaust modifications will be starting soon so stay tuned for more articles.

I did the spacer and once the ECU adjusted, it seemed to pull harder mid-range and up top. Very nice gain.

Should've done the MREV2 at the same time, but oh well.

Edit - Looking at your results, not sure I want to do the MREV 2 now. 11whp is a lot of loss in the last 1k RPM's.

Can you try dyno'in your car with your cai changed to ram? From my understanding it affects performance a bit, but thats from what i read..

Give it a dyno without the long tube CAI (just use the stock box). It will make better results.

Unless I'm missing something, your tuned AFR looks like it's all over the place. Get that UTEC tuned a little better and your power band will be a lot smoother.

.................

And was there a before and after of the CAI somewhere on there? I couldn't tell... in any case, I'm with Tony for taking it off

Yeah... That is one mess of an AFR curve.... For a NA G/Z, it should generally start in the 14-15 range (around idle) then gradually richen up to 12-13 (towards redline) in a nice smooth curve...

That was oddly enough the AFR setup that seem to yeild the best results. When we did the last dyno comparison with the Injen vs the Fujita short ram we saw no gains at all with the short ram. When we do the exhaust article I will try swapping intakes back and forth again to see what yeilds the best overall results.

That is kind of wack. I question your air/fuel sniffer's accuracy.

If that AFR curve really gave the best results then you probably have some weird timing **** going on.
