Default Please help with my 2005 Nissan 350z

I just noticed my car's rpms drop quick and then go back up to kind of sustain the car from turning off. I drivean automatic and this only happens when I let off the gas and the needle drops down to 2000 rpms and then it goes down to like 1000 then back to 1500 rpms without me touching the gas pedal or anything. Is this normal? I thought maybe all nissan vehicles did this so I drove my friends G35 and his doesn't do anything. My car is newer less miles and it's doing this, what can be the problem? The driving itself is not affected by it. If I don't look at the needle I don't feel the drop in rpms, please help, thanks.

I have posted this before, and showed some data to back up this theory but.

it's engine gremlins. I know, gremlins? but what else makes sense?

next time your car does it, take the car somewhere dark and kill the lights and pop the hood (while it is still running) (make sure the parking brake is on) and shine a flashlight right under the engine cover. now, they normally live in a hive like structure made from thier vomit and melted rubber hoses, so it might smell... but once the structure is located remove it with a coat hanger and problem solved!

edit: if you have a oil catch can installed, chances are they hollowed it out and are living in there. they drink used motor oil for thier sustinence, so that is a great place to start.

Probably just the throttle trying to seek the setpoint idle RPM.

RPMs can fluctuate a bit when your A/C kicks in as well.

At the very worst, you need to clean your throttle body and/or MAF sensor.
