Default Flywheel? Should I?

I've been doing some resarch on lighter flywheels and am trying to decide what brand to go with? Nismo, Exedy, or ACT? Whats the pros and cons on lightened flywheels? Is it worth the money? Will the rpms jump higher/quicker response? Do you have one if so was it worth it?

It will make a big difference to the way the engine responds to throttle input. Faster rev up AND down.

I had one on my Suby. it was fun, but drivability suffered a good deal. Forget driving in a relaxed manner. Frankly, the way my engine revs (I have a rev-up 300hp), I don't see a lighter flywheel to be worth the daily hassle. The VQ35 still revs faster than my lightened ej25 from the Suby.

Use the money somewhere else instead.

My 2 cents...

I loved my ACT clutch/flywheel combo but it isn't worth it if your clutch isn't bad.

A flywheel will definitely make the Z a lot more fun and easier to drive in racing applications but it takes a little getting used to on the street.

If you are going to replace your clutch, then do it. If not, save your money for other parts.

If you're going to open it up then do the flywheel for sure. Daily driving isn't that bad. For me.......... I would do it.

B/c often you must adjust to a new engangement point, a lessened amount of play, but imo the benefits outweigh--and some setups might even actually involve less pedal effort, if multiple clutch disks are used.
