All 3 drive very differently and you have to relearn how to handle the car.
Most clutch lsds result in "poorer" lap times for the average driver. Unless you
know how to get around it.

Would this mean that a 2-way would achieve more traction, but would be more noisy, as it would lock up more? Is it true that you must change the diff. oil every time you change engine oil w/ a mechanical LSD?

lol jonnylaw i would say a 2 way would be more noisy as my nismo was until i added this motul oil now its great man. as far as changing goes i honestly have not searched for that but i will probably change mine every other oil change.

1 way diff locks with positive force, acceleration.
2 way diff locks with both positive and negative force, acceleration and deceleration.
1.5 way diff locks on both acc and dec, but the dec locking is not as strong as a 2 way, so its a little smoother.
Only under deceleration would you notice a difference, and its not necessarily traction you'd get, just the ability to keep the wheels under lockup.

So why was the ABS light on? Was there something that you had to fix?
I only ask because I'll be getting the same thing soon.

i had broke one of my sensors and did not realize it. Luckily the people who rebuilt my pumpkin, have a very nice computer that reads abs codes and it said the left and right sensor were out. so i pulled them out and checked and the right one was cracked. picked up another pair from a z in a junkyard for free, saved the 220 bucks my local dealer wanted and now am happy again =). you will love this setup
