Default Roaring noise - is it the diff?

My car has developed a "roaring" sound starting at around 45mph. I used to have a Jeep Grand Cherokee that did a similar thing. I had to have the rear diff replaced twice in the Jeep. I just had the 30k service done, and the diff checked out fine.

Anyone have any experience with these symptoms?

My buddies ranger did that, it was his wheel bearings I believe.

check your tires, maybe they're cupping/feathering.

Default cupping seems to be the problem

guys,
I just dropped off my 04 350ZR at the shop this morning for the same described problem. I just drove the car from Texas to Viginia and thought the 1800 miles may have caused the problems somewhere. I have the original Potenza's on the car and was told by the dealership that it is a cupping issue. I do find it odd based on the fact that the tires only have 21,000 miles on them, but also based on the life of the Potenza's it really doesn't suprise me.
This just gives me a reason now to go get the tires and wheels I wanted from the start.

I found that the problem was indeed the tires. I've replaced them with Bridgestone Potenza 960AS Pole Positions. I've found these to be fantastic tires - I'm totally satisfied with them.

Same thing happen to me on the front tires. It wears quickly. The toe was way off the charts. Got it realigned but tires still have a little life left on the inner tread, but the rest of the tire could go about another 10k miles. Learning lesson there. It happened so quick. I check my tires weekly now. The roaring is still there.
