My check engine light has been permanently on for a long time...for what I assumed were test pipes. I put the cats back on this weekend so I can get it inspected soon...cleared the CEL and about an hour into driving it pops up again. I check it later using the gas pedal method and I thinl I am gettitn code P1057 (after the 10 slow flashes...10 flashes...5 flashes...7 flashes). However I can't find this code online so I have no idea what to look at. If anyone has an idea before I go to autozone today to get it read for real...let me know.

yep....it ends up it was 0057...02 sensor 2, bank 2
does anyone know if I can clear my cel just before getting it inspected and pass ...or is it like fords and other companies where you have to drive x-number of miles before you can get it inspected?

It depends. Some have done that but some in Va have stated the OBD2 scanner at the inspection station would tell them the O2 was not ready for testing yet if the ECU had just been reset.

All vehicles with OBD2 require a significant number of cranks and cruise miles to SET the READY for emissions test flag to protect against FRAUD by resetting system in parking lot before the test!
Not ready, usually promotes a visual test by tech because they know you did a reset.
