Default Ticking axle

Ok I have searched and I do know there is a tsb on the clicking axle, but is there a problem with not doing anything about it right away.
My z is an '03 that I bought used.
I do not know how long it has been doing this.
I can't get it to the dealer for about a month because it is my dd and the dealership is way out of my way from work.
Is this a big problem or just an annoying noise?
Thanks for any help.

think about it. the TSB is to replace and fix the outer axle joint and wheel bearings. if you reread the post it says it could snap if you put it under heavy stress. if you have to drive for a month until it gets fixed, i woudl suggest you take it easy and not put it under too much stress.

I had something similar happen back in 04, if I remember correctly all the dealer did was grease it. Not a big deal

the TSB is simple...you can read about it on Nissan's site in fact

http://www.nissantechinfo.com/nissan...0(Z33)%2003-07

Thought I think you have to subscribe to view the full file...anyway, not really important

the dealer will not swap your axle. Instead they will oil the bolts and retorque them to a higher spec...that's it

Well I had a chance to get to the dealer and they just called and fixed my ticking axle.
I showed up there this morning with the TSB in hand and they said they would look at it.
They called and said I was right and fixed it for free.
I still had drive train warranty left so I guess they used that.
I will pick it up in a couple of hours .Sure hope it is fixed.

I don't know anything except they said that they lubed it.
I will get more info when I pick it up.
But get the TSB # and print it out for them.
You can find it on here.or on Nissan web site.
