Default tranny vibration problem

I own an 03 5AT and for awhile now i've been having vibrations on my shifter when im cruising between 75-80 mph.. at first i though it was the tires and alignment so i made nothing of it cuz i was planning an replacing those but after i have new rims and tires and GF210's and an alignment done and it still does it i figured its something with either the linkage on the tranny itself... what do u guys thing??

Having been throught this with my AT 04, I would suggest having the universal joint on your driveshaft checked out for excessive notchyness (just invented a new English word, lol). How many miles/kms does your Z have on the clock?

If the universal joint isn't moving correctly this will cause a fair amount of vibration. The more you have the boot in, the more it will vibrate. It's a pretty simple process to drop the driveshaft out, so a fairly quick thing to check. Worth checking for ease of mind.

I'm in NZ so our warranty cover terms are different to the US.

I think Power train is 5 year 50K miles. Not 100% sure on that though. I'll have to look it up to double check.

The UJ is attached to your driveshaft, so your drivetrain warranty does cover. I've already had one driveshaft replaced due to excessive notchyness in the UJ.

My advice, get it checked out by someone who's a driveshaft expert!!! If you have a decent dealer they shouldn't muck you around.

I am having the same problems. Mine start at about 3k and get worse the higher the rpms. when I decel its worse than under boost. I was worried it was my TQ converter starting to go but this sounds more like the problem.

Anybody find out how much the fix would be?

not yet . Trying to find a lift to get on so I can check it out.

I just dont see my vibration being a TQ converter issue because the car still shifts and runs fine. I have blown a tranny before so I know how that goes.
