04 here with 72,500 miles and zero grinds *knocks on wood*
6 track days, 5 autocross events
running Redline in the tranny, still on stock clutch & flywheel
if somthing like a syncro mayb messed up or a even a gear grinds every once n a while if warranty doesnt cover it what is the $$ damage on somthing like that?
I changed my tranny and diff gear oil at the 30k mile service with Redline fluids. Before the change, I never had any problems. With the new fluid, the car runs even better. I'm very happy with the car, and it has 43k miles on the original tranny.
03' 6 speed touring / syncros went (3 gear shifts) got a new tranny @ 43,000 now @ 87,000 now its grinding into 5th =( feels like the syncros again wtf!!! starting to get really aggravated with this!!

92,800 miles......over 400 1/4 mile passes. 60+ 5k-6k launches on drag radials. Occasionally grinds in 2nd and 3rd.........typically only when very cold. The car also has some troubles from time to time going into 2nd after several hot lap passes. I run an OS Giken clutch. I use Motul fluid in the trans.
