23,733k; NO issues. But, then again, mine's an AT, which are much more trouble-free than MTs in Zeds. Still, I'm glad to hear about all those flawless MTs on this post!

Those with transmission issues, do you rest your hand on the shift **** when driving? Also, do you rev match when down shifting? Just curious.

I drive like a maniac at all time and I'm at 45,000 miles. Luckily tranny is still running strong!

well when i had my first transmission it had bout 83,000 miles on it with no problems then i snapped the pivotball by downshifting to hard. I replaced/upgraded that and a bunch of other transmission sh** like clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch slave and master cylinder, clutch line, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and a revo tecnica short throw shifter. I adjusted the gate (shifter to transmission plate) wrong and i was off by fractions of an inch and it caused my 3rd and 4th gear to grind out and my 5th to grind. I replaced the transmission with the best one a Z/G owner can get from nissan.(which is the CD0009 for those who dont know) i used my clutch arm and steel pivotball(long pivotball and lighter clutch arm) from my old transmission and put it on my new one. Or you can use the heavier clutch arm from the new transmissions and buy a steel pivotball(short pivotball) and use that. I used amsoil transmission fluid and my car is performing better than it was before my first transmission started acting up. So about 83,000miles on the CD0 #1 transmission driving it hard.

122,000 on original tranny and clutch, '03. No issues whatsoever. Always rev match on downshifts. Track the car about every year, usually more than once, and 8 years of ZdayZ/Dragon and a lot of twisties every summer with my local club. Obviously a daily driver

03' 6mt, 5th gear started to grind when shifting quickly a month ago...

I was wondering if replacing an LSD will also incur the removal of the transmission assembly. If so, I may consider to replace my LSD at the same time.

Your diff will be untouched, other than removing the driveshaft from it.

03 base, 59,978 on first trans so far.
