Only if you bought the extended warranty. I'm covered for 7 years/ 75,000 miles.

Dropped my baby off at the dealer this morning. 5th gear grinding @ 44k miles. We'll see what they have to say.

Edit: Found out I need a "new transmission assembly" which won't be there until tomorrow. They're covering a rental car for me until Wed or when they finish the work. I have to say...I'm extremely pleased so far. I'm finally having the fuel line recall done as well...figured if they were ripping her apart already I might as well.

Edit2: OMG. They called Enterprise to comp me a rental. Enterprise said that they had to give me a Nissan because Nissan is footing the bill....they only had 1 Nissan left in their fleet. They gave me an ::expletive deleted:: QUEST! This is pretty much the most opposite vehicle they could have given me. My coworkers are giving me sooooo much shizzle for this, I'll never live it down.

Does anyone in here with the original transmission want a new oem clutch disc, cheap?

I have a new one at my house that's not doing me any good.

when you guys say "grinding," do you mean as you are shifting into that gear, it begins to grind or is it totally something different?

Because I noticed from 3rd to 4th sometimes it gets caught grinding... I just thought that was my own fault from probably releasing the clutch too early or something...

I hope this isn't a bad sign

Default 3rd gear grind

does anyone know if there is any sort of recal for this issue, mine just starting grinding last week, and my warranty is expired, tranny shop wants $700 for labor - if I have the tranny out of the car and delivered to them - not including any parts needed.

2003 track, 28K miles, light to medium "abuse", first transmission. I changed the transmission and diff fluid at 20K with redline. Has much smoother feel.
