Default soft clutch

is anyone having problem with their clutch pedal getting soft(all stock), "or having to step on it at least half way down to the floor board before you get any pressure" - this happens to me once in a while only when i am in heavy traffic or when stopping and going thru a buzy parking lot.

I have that exact same problem with my stock clutch. And have it with my current JWT setup. Going to take it to the dealer tomorrow to see what they can do to fix it. Does your clutch get sticky (clutch sticks to the floor) sometimes when you are in stop and go traffic. I will post up what the dealer says when I get some info from them.

Typically this is a sign of your clutch fluid boiling or having air in the hydraulic clutch line. Try bleeding it or replace it with a SS line and some high temp fluid.

Dealer told me it is either the master cylinder/slave cylinder that has gone bad. Air bubbles in the clutch line or clutch fluid boiling. They are going to confirm my problem later on today. Will keep you posted once I get a response from them.

Dealer just called me and they test drove my car and the problem occurred. They are replacing my clutch master cylinder and slave under warranty. And they said they are 98% sure the problem will be resolved. Hope the item's they are replacing will cure my problems. Only thing is the parts are on order and my car is staying overnight at the dealership.

i thought the dealer would say the master or slave cylinder needed to be replaced , but instead they claimed its the clutch pedal assembly needs to be replaced. i told them if it didnt work ill be back again - they are paying for it so im not worried

A mushy clutch like that can be a little dangerous too. Many years ago now (just counted, makes me feel old, lol) I had a Fiero GT that had a clutch master cylinder go bad. After it pulled away all by its self once, I learned very quickly to not sit in gear for any longer than absolutely necessary. Needless to say I got it fixed quick.

Got my car back from the dealership. Clutch pedal does not stick to the floor anymore and the clutch grabs really well. On the paper work it stated they replaced the clutch master cylinder and slave. And they also found a small leak coming from the old master cylinder.
