so yea i got an oil consumption problem after i changed to MOTUL 8100 5w-30
everything was fine with mobil1 then i decided to be JDM or right now "an idiot" cause the car is burning oil like its $1 a quart
the question is, for daily driving, i shouldve never switched should i?
i only WOT once in a while, mostly cruising or stop/go type driving
im starting to think that the thinner oil is causing this, ive been reading oil threads all day and recall one guy saying that royal purple or amsoil oil made him believe he had an oil consumption problem but he really didnt, lol
im wondering if this is my problem aswell?

p.s. i do have an appointment on monday at nissan and just dont know what to think, lol

 

I had royal purple in my car. I burned a lot faster than the current motul 8100 5w40. The Motul consumes a lot less compared to Royal purple. I just assume it's part of Nissan's common blow by.
