Default Project ARC..Engine bay build in progress..

Awhile back, when deciding on what components to go with, I decided on ARC. Definitely not the easiest path taken. After being on the forums awhile and given the quality of ARC parts I decided to decorate the engine bay entirely with ARC. It's been a slow process, definitely due to $$$, but is close to completion now.

Recently I picked up the ARC cooler, which should be arriving sometime this week. Thank you Andy, @ Performance Nissan.

Other components that will arrive in the next week are the Ti Strut bar and V2 oil catch can. Thank you Marty, from Injected Performance. Injected Performance has always been a great supplier for me. We've completed many business transactions and I'm always please with their professionalism and service.

Here's a couple pics of the Ti strut bar. I pulled them from another website. They were the best pics I could find for the meantime.

Here's a pic of the ARC V2 oil catch that will be arriving along side the Ti strut bar. (Pic curtesy of member = CESAROTORRES)

I already own the green on silver oil cap.

Day one... I began by getting the car up in the air and stable. Removing the front bumper was a peice of cake. A few screws, but mostly pop off clips. As you can see, I've already installed the ARC radiator panel.

Here's a couple pics of the bumper parts. They'll be laying around for a week or so.

I'm going to post some more photos I took in a few minutes. I'm having a delimma on cutting the front grill out to make room for the cooler and need some opinions.

Ok, here's the delimma.

I can cut along the yellow line or the red line. The red line is the easiest by far, but it will leave some abnormal patterns/gaps along the side edge of the bumper. If I cut along the yellow line, this ensures a clean removal of all the black plastic of the front grill. The only thing is, it is a long tedious cut all the way around the inner portion of the bumper. It's a no brainer that the yellow line cut will be the cleanest though. Can anyone offer advise on making the yellow line cut, if I choose to go this route?

Thanks guys.

how about cutting the red, then using the cut off pieces to back-fill the gaps, and bondo/body filler to smooth it all out, then paint it black, and voila! you have a black border all around -- might be more work than it's worth, though. otherwise I'd cut at the yellow.

Good suggestion, but it does seem like alot of work.

The gold cap seems like a nice match for the rims.

I'm staying NA. I know the cooler is overkill. I'm using it stickly for show application.

The super induction box and pipe are next on my hit list after I recover from this....

nice stuff. How much did that ARC oil cooler set you back?

Also, i hope you had that car on jack stands and not just the jack by itself.

It's on jack stands. I just have the jack there for added safety. The rear wheels are chaulk also...

Thanks guy. I wanted to stay ARC due to the rarity and quality of their parts. My goal is to have a unique vehicle, preserving the natural lines and curves of the OEM design as much as possible, but not too gaudy.

I'll keep you guys posted with pics as the project progresses.

After looking at your bumper cut out last night, I've decided to cut along the yellow line. I'll probably get on it tonight. Should be a snap. I'll post pics of the bumper after I'm done.
