I just drove off the lot with an 07 the other week. I'm getting some weird rattling from the transmission. Its even loud and apparent when it is in neutral. When the clutch is pressed, the sound is gone. For a while i ignored it, thought it was normal... but man its really starting to bother me. I think i read stuff about the rattle in other posts but i didn't really pay attention to them. Anyone with an 07 had the same problem?

 

Very common and normal. It's especially noisy when you turn the car off (in neutral, clutch out).

 

yup, noisey flywheel, i have a 07 and its gotten better after 2k miles but still makes a lot of noise when you turn off the car

Make sure youre not leaking clutch fluid also. That may have been posting in that link, but I didnt bother to read it.
