I believe julian has trapped faster than 125mph..

can the revups 7k can be raised with the reflash. I rarley see revups rev limiter flashed beyond 7k . Matter of fact havent seen anyone on here with a revup thats reving beyond 7k.

Maybey i should try this reflash. lol

Oh, I thought he meant he was trapping 107, too.

If he traps 125, he's probably FI and has different requirements anyway.

Absolutely not. You're staying at 7k buddy.

btw, aceman can the hr's be raised to 8k?

8k and 4.08 gears on an hr would be sick...

I don't know if anyone has mapped out the HR ECU yet. Once they figure it out, they will be able to raise the the rev limit.

That doesn't mean that the stock rods will be good for 8k RPMs though.

Thanks for the ride ACEMAN!

Those gears are def a mod worth doing...adds quite a boost. And I was suprised, I did not feel like the RMPs were reving out at all.

Noob question, but would a difference in gearing be reflected in a dyno? If so, what kind of increases can one expect? I'm kinda thinking about this for my '07.

no^^ all this mod does is put you in your power band sooner...hence you feel more power/torque. It doesnt add any hp to the car. the trade off is of course you have to shift sooner due to the shorter gears, your top speed is cut off a little and you loose about 1 mpg due to being at a slightly higher rpm than a stock Z. Still waaaay worth the mod...you fly thru first, second and third...you feel kinda boosted...

Point is, get it for your 07 (i am)...gears are so long with the 7.5k redline anyway, you'll just get there sooner. And youll see a increase in acceleration...so you'll def "feel" like more power has been added.

Todd-if you have issues needing to hit 5th gear NA, I'll sell you my 27" tall slicks (only 2 passes) and you can stay in 4th slightly longer...Im guessing if you do everything right you will have to as your already trapping 106mph now and thats avg trap the last 60ft not terminal trap which is higher than that.

Thanks Bert,

I will have to double check the size of the slicks i have at home. I cant remember how tall they are. But your right, My best trap was 106. Now since the gear change, I top out at 107 in 4th. Going to be interesting this friday.

Technosquare ECU reflash. Among other things it raises your rev limiter.

So more on the gears....

I took it out after work tonight.

Did some powershifting to get ready for this friday. Very impressed with the results.

First gear - No matter where you are in the RPM's you will roast the tires
Second gear - Very strong pull and the tires will break lose
Third - my favorite gear, also very strong pull
Forth - Keeps pulling and pulling

Now when i started in first and power shifted up till forth gear it went like this.

First gear, i just roast the tires.. Bang second more roasting... Run the gear out and spin going into third... pulls hard and chirps going in to forth.

That was the suprise for me.. I have never chirped that hard going into forth. Put a big grin on my face.

I will post up my logs from the track like i have done before. I need to see where i am in the powerband when shifting to each gear.

Later
Todd
