Default Slick 50 Oil additive?

Hi everyone - just bought a silver 06, base, but I love it.

Does anyone here recommend using slick 50 at the next oil change?

It seems a good idea but I wonder about its compatibility with this engine?

Anyone used it?

Welcome to the forums.

No, I wouldn't do it.
Slick 50 and similar products were a fad in the 90's.

Most of us would recommend using a HQ synthetic oil instead.
I use Redline.

never heard that before nor experienced it...but I did put it into a 72 240Z back in the day...inline 6 with over 100K miles on it..always idled rough and after slick 50 it idled like a sewing machine and ran better and got better gas mileage as well as starting easier...but in an 06? no..use mobil 0w40 full synthetic..

Thanks for all the comments and views.

She gets good synthetic oil, I just wondered if she would need slick 50 as well as a good oil. I too had had good experience of slick 50 in an old '86 Alfa Romeo but maybe I'll leave it at that.
