Default OPINIONS- Tanabe Exhaust

Whats up,

Well a friend of my fathers is selling a Brand New cat-back 350z Tanabe exhaust.

My father asked me if I want it (for christmas)

HERES THE QUESTION

How is the sound of this exhaust??

I want a aftermarket exhaust for the litttle performance and a little sound
BUT i definitly dont want a LOUD, RICEY sounding one.

I really love the stock exhaust sound so im afraid of changing it. I just want it to be a little louder.

Any opinions from people who own this exhaust or have heard it in person is appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like you want a Nismo. I would go to a meet and ask people if you could ride around with a specific exhaust you might like.

I've heard the Tanabe set up on a twin turbo Z. All in all, it sound dynamite, very throaty and exotic soundnig. BUT the switch is, he had a boat load of stuff done to his Z therefore changing the note of the exhaust totally. I haven't heard it on a semi-stock set up, but it sounded damn good on that TT Z.

I have the Tanabe Race Medalion exhaust and it is a very deep exotic sounding exhaust. It can be loud especially if you have test pipes and Y-pipe put on, but not ricey by anymeans. If you want the stock sound only a little louder don't get this exhaust. The other Tanabe exhaust i know are quiter. My buddy has the Hyper Medalion with Y-pipe on his 07 and it sounds sweet

Tanabe makes very nice products. The touring medalion for the 350 is my fav. Mature looks and a nice deep output.

I have the hyper medalion and I love it, its quiet when cruising, but when under a load gets throaty, but not super loud and annoying.

Yup , nice and about stock sound cruising on the freeway , and a nice bark on throttle. Quiet enough to keep from getting pulled over.
