I dont know if they are the best, but they do have a few options for porting and polishing your heads.

I am having a Pro Stock Bike champion do my heads. He KNOWS his 4 valve heads. I am not going all out though. My car is totally a street car, though.

You could just do your own, there are easy to follow books on it and a rotory tool can be found even in your country.

i would not even attempt my own.. Thats where years of experience and knowledge come into play..But I guess you would need to start somewhere right?

I dont know.... Do you??

I know most shops dont do their own head work and source it out to machine shops.

How do your rates compare to what they have listed?

I wouldn't recommend that. I have spend plenty of time of flowbenches and done some porting myself. There is more to it than most people realize. It is not just going psycho with a die grinder!

If you really want to try it yourself, I suggest buy an extra set of heads. the, take them to a machine shop and have them cut them up. that way you, can see just how thick the port walls are.

also, you can get this rubbery mold making stuff so that you can make molds of the port shapes. With the molds, you can "cc" them to figue out the port volumes and trule see the shape.

Work on each cylinder and try different things. you'll learn what work and what doesn't. more flow is not always what you want. if you have to increase volume too much to gain the flow, you will have hurt the port velocity, which is very important. Additionally, there are things that can be done to increase/decrease swirl and tumble.

without a flow bench, you'll be guessing at your results. search the internet on making a homemade flowbench. you can make a decent one withoutspending lots of money.

Have FUN!!!!
