dipstick rant

not another one of these threads. The dipstick is very easy to do. I don't get how people think that's "hard" work. It's not as simple as other cars but it's not something i would moan about.
1. Get a napkin.
2. Pull dipstick out.
3. Wipe oil off the dipstick.
4. Put the dipstick back in the hole
5. Pull dipstick back out and look at the level behind.
6. Wipe the oil off the dipstick again.
7. Stick the dipstick back in the hole.
8. Use the same napkin to wipe off any excess oil that may have got onto the intake pipe and surrounding areas.
9. Throw away napkin.
10. DONE.

It does suck, especially in limited lighting. Whoever designed it is was on crack. Its functional though and I guess that’s all you can ask for in light of the fact that the rest of the engine design is brilliant.

ya it took me about 10 seconds instead of the usual 5 seconds. its definetly the hardest dipstick i've seen to manuever but still not that tough.

haha i know how to use the dipstick. its not like i dont, i just hate the location of it compared to other cars i worked on. like one member said above, when you are in limited lighting, its frustrating to put back in. i dont need a write up.
