Brian Hinson is working with the guys from UPREV(on my recommendation) to ensure EVERY function will be retained. When I decided to do the swap retaining the factory gauges and functions was of a top priority. Guys remember that this swap is the first of its kind and the car was finihsed and rushed to its SEMA debut. There is still some trial and error and last minute this that were not completed in order to meet my SEMA deadline. The car will be going back to brian for some last finishing touches. I am assuming that all of our questions will be answered once the car is complete and videos of the car driving will be available then.
I will say this....Hinson Supercars did an AMAZING job....so much so that people had to point out to their friends that this wasn't the stock motor....i am 100% satisfied with their work and cannot wait to see what number we make now that I have a little more time.

I bought the LS2 as well....hence why I am stuck with what to do financially now. I Can twin turbo the LS2 for a good 6XX RWHP and be happy or build the N/A LSX for roughly 6XX rwhp as well...I am completely wiped out so i guess I just need to start saving again.

it is a problem....I am way over budget and really just want to drive the car...either option will get her back to me just in time for the snow....maybe i'll buy a blown up FD RX-7 and drop the LS2 in there to drive around while i build the LSX....i don't know at this point...i am going to go with Brian Hinson's suggestions as to what to do....he knows his stuff and has yet to misguide me (hell he has an 8 second TT LS1 RX-7)

Out of curiousity...Why not? Can you not build a street rod in California?
