Noah, (1) can you elaborate on how Hinson/You managed the AC. Did you use a GM compressor? (2) With the extra motor/transmission/clutch/radiator weight did you notice any steering difference? I'm sure your car is much faster than it originally was, but does it still appear that it turns as fast as did? I guess I'm asking for your seat-of-the-pants feeling, did it seem to handle turning as well as before?

You makes noah cry.
I will not know how it drives until this weekend (i still have a lot of work left to do regarding redoing my suede interior and safety equpiment incase i get out of hand)....but also remember my suspension is heavily modified so the handling might not be too different.
I beleive Brain is the only person who knows every detail regarding this build so your best bet for answers would be to call hinsonsupercars.

The shifter is 100% perfect....exactly where the Z shifter was....when i said I was amazed with Brian Hinson's attention to detail I was not kidding.
I will get some pics as soon as I get the car back.

You would have to fly to alabama and drive it up from there....OR just come to NY and go for a spin!
killer conversion! congrats
I've had two different LSX powered vettes, an LS6 C5Z and an LS7 C6Z. They are amazing powerplants for sure! The LS7 was just a beast....I dynoed 453/424 showroom stock and 485/453 with a cai, ported intake and tune only! That LS7 is no joke, but all the LSX motors have tremendous all motor capability.

I just typed lsx as to not have to type ls1, ls2, ls3, ls6, ls7 or ls9 (although thats supercharged). a gm high performance parts lsx block is indeed different, I just figured people reading would understand my laziness not to type out all the production gm ls-family (how's that?) that have found their way to various vehicles. hey, but thanks for the warm welcome
here are my ls6 and ls7 vehicles and new g35, BTW - I love this 7600rpm nissan motor!
'02 C5Z - head & cam/lt's/3.90 gear/ 455/410 sae

(cam "only" 405rwhp sae vid - 11.28, 1.51 60ft)
http://www.real-performance-motorspo...owning1128.wmv
sadly, never made a run with the cnc aftermarket heads on the car, would have been high ten capable. sold for 06 c6z)
'06 C6Z - showroom stock 453/424 sae. tune and cai 485/453 sae

showroom stock (and I'm talking all the way down to the pathetic emt runflats) 11.44 vid run (later went 11.31, no vid. no runs made with cai and tune. car sold)

and believe it or not, after owning all that hp and BROAD tq band from the ls-x (uh-oh, there it is again!) I love this new g35. I think this nissan powerplant is excellent and pulls very nicely to 7600. I'm really enjoying this car! nice job nissan! (oh nooooos, is that another boo-boo with the techinicality police? should have said infiniti? or is nissan ok?

times pending- whats the showroom stock record for a g35?
peace bruthas!

the emt's are pathetic, chief, sorry. C6Z owners lined up in herds to ditch the runcraps for nitto invos or mich p2s. check out the corvette forum if you don't believe me. goodyear just makes a crappy tire IMO. It will hook pretty good with a WELL prepped surface and a burnout, but then you're left wondering what happened to your tread after making only a couple of runs.....thats what happens when you start life @ $450 a pop and 9/32's tread depth. Wet traction and cold surface traction is like an ice rink - utterly dangerous for a 427 car and rwd.
since I actually owned the car.....I'm sticking with the term "pathetic"
