It was 3rd.

Mods are:
popcharger
ported/polished throttle body
ported/polished lower plenum and intake manifold (just mild DIY stuff)
1/4" spacer (from when Motordyne was testing spacer heights)
UR crank pulley (I don't think this does much)
Crawford headers (gained 7 HP in the dynapack, but lost mid range)
fuji Y-pipe and japtrix B pipe with stock muffler
stock ECU (should have reset it that day)

I'm also running 18" 350z track rims with 265 pilot sports in the rear, so it may be lighter than you 19" setup.

Incidentally this same setup is 278 on the Church dynapack.

nice setup man. I think my rims weigh approx 22 pounds, it definitely woulda been nice to have some forged 18s. I guess since I drive this daily its best to dyno it the exact way its being driven on the street. Im gonna cut back on starbucks and get that technosquare reflash and see how it goes from there

Every VQ is different and has it's own personality. Some are factory freaks that make monster whp, some make less than average whp. But most stay within a statistical average... I'd definitely get a tune... While you're at it, a compression test wouldn't hurt either for piece of mind.

It will look weird as the TC locks, but you should get a better estimation of true peak power.

+1......please take his advice. 4th gear is the 1:1

Can any one explain what TC lock is and what does it feel like? I think I know, but I just want to be certain.

Torque multiplication occurs upon initial spin up - usually in 1st, not 3rd. That's on the street though, so not really sure how to predict TC behaviour on the dyno - depends on the dyno too...

Get rid of the Nismo exhaust, it may sound good, but doesnt add any power, I had it when I had an auto with pretty much your mods. I got 238rwhp... traded the car in shortly after that! If you're keeping the car, a tune would prob put u in the 25X's range....

Its when your engine speed catches up to your tranny speed, then the lockup clutch locks them together so they don't slip. Mine locks up at 4100 rpms if I remember correctly. Its very evident on a DJ dyno where the lockup happens. I have the Edge racing TC.

My '06 A/T dyno'd at 252.01 whp & 224.97 ft/lbs. Here is my thread on my tune with UpRev in Texas:

Ahh, that's what I thought. So when I downshift into 4th gear and feel my car accelerate, but see that the RPMs don't climb rapidly for a while, that's TC lock, right? It only happens on a downshift, from what I've noticed - seeing as how if I move up through the gears, the RPMs increase at a normal pace once I'm in 4th.

For a car with headers and 5/16 and tune...that's still low. Get rid of that Injen exhaust and Magnaflow. And put the 06 airbox back on. I guarantee you that you'll re-dyno 260+WHP. You're also being robbed of torque.

I say you need to add bit more fuel, that AF could be reacher. BTW the 6spd you posted that made 236 was way leaner than yours hence the lower HP.
