Change Diff gears on 5AT? possible?
I wnat to do the gears on my 03 AT but doesnt seem like it can be done for whatever reason, does the tranny play that big a part in the ratio not to allow you to do this? Does anyone know, and if so point me in the right direction.. thanks

It's been quite a while since I read that hug thread about the guy who first did an LSD and gear swap in his 5AT, but I believe the stated issue was the ring gear is thicker on the auto model. Can anyone point me to pics about the problem? Is this a common problem in other cars when doing gear swaps, I've never done it? Yeah I know, just swap or buy a 6 speed pumpkin, but I want to see if there are no other options, this can't be the only car that has this issue, and if it is due to oem being too thick, a spacer can't be made or etc.? You can rag on me if you want, but if your "in the know", please share, even if it is not related to the Z
