Default 350Z engine in a Qashqai?

Sup, I really like the compact look of the Nissan Qashqai mini-SUV. But I just fricken hate the lame engines they put in them.

So if I have the money, and I wanted to, would it even be possible at all to put a 350Z twin turbo engine in a Qashqai and maybe also make it rear wheel driven?

I'm not sure about the swap but...I've got a buddy in Norway who explained to me how any car over ~2 liters displacement is either illegal/extremely expensive. Do you all have the same issue?

Actually you would have to use the Altima/Maxima/Quest/Murano motor as the Qashqai is a fwd based car. And it be cheaper to swap the fwd model, unless you can find the stuff off an awd Murano.

Or better yet just go for the Infiniti EX35 if there is one in your locale.

oh is the Qashqai not sold in the US or it's that it's too lame? lol. I testdrove and I like the size and all of it, but the engine is just sooo booring.

Well i guess I'll just have to keep dreaming that a mini-SUV such as the Nissan Qashqai will be release with a V6-V8 config with 300hk + engine. Hopefully turbocharged, and rear wheel driven or AWD with atleast 60/40 to the rear.

The Murano is too big. It would be f cool to have a mini-SUV that haul some serious ***...

The Qashqai is sold in the US as the Nissan Rogue... according to the link that was provided.

North America

A stretched version is called the Nissan Rogue.
