Sorry, I've gotta ask. What the hell does OP stand for? I can't figure it out.

I personally think it would run.

I have a rev up harness and ECU for sale, PM me for details.

Yeah - You'll need to swap the ecu and harness if you go from a non revup to a revup. From what iv'e heard, it's not worth it cause it's a total PITA. And the gains of a revup over a non revup are minimal if any.

I think it would be required to swap the ECU and wiring to get the exhaust and intake vvt to work, but the motor will still run without the full vvt hooked up. You obviously won't see any power increase without everything hooked up, but for a person in your situation it should work.

As far as I know the crank trigger is the same, and the cam triggers are the same. As long as they haven't changed electronically everything should work on the old ECU. However, if the signal plate on the newer crank is a different pulse per revolution then you will have issues. One easy way to verify this is to check compatibility of 03/04 flywheels with the Rev-up flywheels. If they are identical then you can rest assured the signal plate is identical.

I wonder if someone has switched the heads on the non-revup to a revup. If it is the bottom end of the revup that causes the oil consumption, you could take the more solid non-revup bottom and get a better intake (like any of the plenum choices). Could you make more power or the same as a revup but not have to worry about oil consumption? I'm interested in getting "electromagnetic lift" on the exhaust cam for more high rpm power. I want to consider this as an alternative to just getting a set of cams that are always mean.
