Default Got the BORLA today, too. (Weight)

Finally got the Borla exhaust, I guess waiting 20 days for an exhaust is nothing when you waited 10 months for the car.

Oh well, I think I'll install saturday before I go to see 2F2F.

For those who were wondering about the weight......
I weighed myself, then myself with each box, then myself with the boxes and the exhaust out of the boxes...did the math...

and it weighs 52 pounds.

not too bad.

No, 70's is Stillen.

Stock is 60's somewhere, like 62 or something.

I did a search
quote from someone else said...

"First off the Stillen exhaust weighs 73LBS. My stock exhaust weighed 58 LBS."

The initial Stillen quotes of 90+ lbs were wrong.

So Borla beat Stillen by 20, and stock by 6. Sounds like it has the best gains as well, and price too. Hmmm.

damn thats heavy, man i would get the teardrop titanium by veilside, the one for the supra is only 6.5lbs and the one for the z looks better with muffler tips coming out instead of that body sized muffler and some tips

I miss this thread for some reason; my system weighs 46 lbs not 52 like CaneZMD, so check your systems when it comes to your door!

Stock exhaust on the 350z weighs in at 32kg- thats just about 70lbs (32kg x 2.205 = 70.56lbs).

32kg is according to Top Secret's web site:
http://www.topsecretjpn.com/aerokit/Z33/z33-eng.htm

"TS single Titanium Exhaust system (after the intermidiate "Y" pipe) weighs only 5.5kg vs. 32kg stock (1/4 weight reduction). 80-115mm 8HP-up 160,000Yen"

I believe this weight is for the stock system after the Y pipes- so the stock system actually weighs 5-7 pounds more (75lbs???) since the Borla and Injen connect directly to the cats.
