Default OEM part numbers for 4.083 F/D

After searching here I found that the 4.083 f/d gear is actually out of an '05+ nissan frontier/pathfinder. However, i could not find the OEM part number for the gear so I could order it from my local dealer. If anyone knows the actual part number for the gear, please post it up here. Thanks in advance

yes it will. It is basically a shorter alternative to the 3.9 central 20/nismo gears. It is also fairly cheap because it is also mass produced for the nissan frontier. This is why Im looking for the part number for the gear.

I believe the part number for 4.083 gears is 38100-0C760

I checked with my local Infiniti dealer before I bought my gears and they were much more expensive that what Adam at Z1 was selling them for. I bought mine from Adam.

Hope that helps.

Now I hate to undercut anyone, but if this is in fact an OEM part, which you guys are purchasing from dealerships and then marking up to make your profit, then I should be able to get it from the dealer myself and avoid the markup. I work at a shop, so we have wholesale accounts with local nissan dealers (in which case we get 20% off). Now I figure if you guys are charging $499 for the f/d (and I assume you're making atleast %15), then I SHOULD be able to get one delivered to my shop from nissan for about $399. See what I'm saying? So what gives with nissan wanting more than you're asking for this same part?

I honestly can't follow what you are saying at all. Not sure where you are getting your #'s from, but they are all completely inaccurate. Price on our website is $499. Retail price from Nissan is even higher. We have it in stock, you're welcome to try to get it from nissan yourself if you want - last I checked, there were none in the country but their inventory changes of course week to week. What's more, discussions of wholesale and retail pricing are well beyond the scope of what this forum is about, and is not an appropriate discussion IMHO.

I goofed on the prices in my original post (which I corrected now). But basically I was going to try to get it directly from nissan because I get a 20% discount from them. I was hoping that with 20% it was going to be cheaper than what you guys list it for ($499). But it actually comes out to about the same price, Im sorry about the confusion and i was in no way trying to offend anyone or cross boundaries; I was just trying to get the best price possible, that is all.

Also, I dont see why it is not appropriate to talk about wholesale and retail pricing on a forum. The customer is going to try to get the best deal possible, so i dont see what the fuss is about with that. When we all went to Nissan to buy our 350s, we knew what invoice was and wanted to get as close as possible to that, not just give the dealer their markup. We all discuss this on the forums correct?

Either way I do apologize if I intruded anywhere. And actually after it was all said and done, Z1 auto has the lowest price anyway ; so expect a phone call within the next month to purchase my 4.083's from you guys, thanks

I considered not posting the part number, but I hunted it up before I got my gears and figured others could/would hunt it up too.

As I mentioned before, Adam's price was much lower than the Nissan price... PLUS... I like to support the people that support my350z... Adam supports the community and also supports normally aspirated VQ35's... that's important to me.

Sorry if my post was inappropriate, Adam.

Adam must get an awesome hookup on OEM parts, because as I said, I get 20% off retail and Adam's price was still about $10 lower, so either he's losing money or gets an awesome price himself. Either way, can't beat the price and supporting a vendor is always good.

Group hug! Z1 is the best.

I'm planning to get the 4.083 when my holiday spending is done. I still have my brother, nephew, mother, and girlfriend to shop for. That's four presents. No room for myself at this time

Nothing says Holiday Season like a ring and pinion under the tree

just drop em a not so subtle hint - like "Honey, I'd really love it if this year you got me a new sweater.....I MEAN a ring and pinion "
