Default Where to mount oil temp sending unit?

Hey guys,

Was wondering where you guys who have oil temperature gauges mounted your sending units? Thanks in advance!

I'm about to purchase one also. But I have a AAM oil pan spacer. It came with a pre threaded hole for the purpose. But I to would like to here where people who don't have a spacer put one. They might just tap the lower part of the upper oil pan and thread a hole in there. Not sure if that area is low enough for accurate readings.

I've used a sandwich adapter in the past to get oil temp and pressure readings (in a car without pressure gauge). Here's one you can buy from summit racing:

ither get a spacer. or what i have is the power enterprise oil pan... and i really like it, it made my engine temp lower by about 10 degrees.
