I'm gonna need a new clutch too?? I've heard a lot of people running on their stock clutch and flywheels...

you need to do alot more research

...and you also need to stop assuming, when you don't have the facts to base the opinion off of. Read people's own direct experiences with the kits, regardless of which, and you'll see, to properly execute an FI setup, even the "simple" ones, takes a significant outlay of cash from the start. "Mild" tune, "Wild" tune, it's all semantics. There is a right and wrong way to do it...the right way nets you a reliable car, the wrong way nets you a 3200 planter sitting in your front yard while you figure out how to pay for a motor....be smart.

I would suggest upgrading your footworks (tires, suspension brakes etc . .) next. . .It changes the attitude of the car and is something you can keep further down the road, whichever route you decide to take

You don't have to have an aftermarket clutch for FI, but it is recommended depending on what shape your stock clutch is in and what kind of power you plan on making. There are plenty of supporting mods that are not necessarily required, but they will help you run more efficiently and safely. They also help you get the most HP out of your set-up. These guys arent getting 600 whp by slapping on greddy twins and calling it a day.

Yes turbo kits will come with an ss box or emange. Does it work just fine ? Well that depends on who your asking. The few people that slap on there kits and run it out of the box with mild hp aspirations are content with them. Most will throw out the provided emange or ss box and upgrade to something a bit more complex like the UTEC or FCON. This enables the tuner to really get in depth. People will then upgrade injectors, fuel pump etc. Do you have to build your bottom end ? No, but again if you plan on running high boost and pushing the limits of your kit, then you will want to reinforce your bottom end to be safer. Notice I said safer ... not safe. Even with a built bottom end you can run into problems when boosting. There are just sooo many different scenarios, we cannot list every option for every situation. Get out there and look to see what others have done. You'll find that most people find certain extra supporting mods worthwhile, even tho they are not absolutely required. Rarely do you find ppl throwing on F/I kits out of the box and thats it ...

I could go on for hours... you really just gatta search. Start with the FI part of the forum and read all the stickie's. There plenty of valuable information. Mmebers like Sentry has some of the best info for Vortech set-ups while Albert and many others have gone over Greddy twins. Utilize the forums.

I agree with what all of you say... And you all have much more experience with Z's, I'm sure, since I'm brand new to Z's... But it also depends on my driving style too... I'm more of an accelration junky. I like to occasionally feel myself get pushed into my seat and here that BOV go off occasionally. And I also like to know that I have the power there at my disposal... But I WILL be reading more and more, as I already do daily

Thanks for all your suggestions... I will keep you guys posted on my progress

True which is why were trying to steer you in the right direction. But understand everything cant be spoon fed.. thats the point of all these existing threads. So you can help yourself.

Then I really dont think spending thousands on a F/I set-up is in your future with the Z. You want the sound of a blow off valve, well go buy a WRX.

Thanks for all your suggestions... I will keep you guys posted on my progress
Anytime man, goodluck and read up !
