so any new information on this problem? i took my 350z in to have the clutch replaced and to have the service tech look at this problem. but woulndt you know it, the car didnt buck when they drove it. and the day i get it back from the dealer with the "nothing seems to be wrong" answer it F'ING BUCKS!@#! so im taking it back again tomorrow 3-26-08

is there a way if this continues to happen after multiple visits to have this car ruled a Lemon and get resolved? was trying to read up on lemon law stuff for texas, but all that legal jargon is cornfusing for me

I have no idea dude. I STILL haven't fixed it but then again, I haven't gone to my buddy's to swap parts to diagnose the problem.

Hopefully soon I will get a chance.

This makes me think twice about getting another Z after I sell the one I have.

I find that mine does it right about when the engine is warmed up and the temperature and oil gauges are normal. Then it will buck for a short while and then stop. It all started when I had my last oil change. Think it might have something to do with that?

Update... So I got a new motor through NNA and I still have the problem so I'm thinking it could be the coil packs. They reused my old ones... I'm going to try to swap with a friend to see if that gets rid of it.

I saw the vid and I have it too. 05 Z with a TN single. I thought it was the Utec or clutch, but this thread seems to rule this out. I have 650cc injectors and fuel return as well, but stock coils. Mine seems to want to buck at appx 35 mph cruise in third, just off of tip in on the pedal. SUX

Yeah, I've already changed my clutch and flywheel and have the same issue. It's more noticeable due to the light flywheel

I think I may have found a work-around. I'm not sure if it will work for everyone, but it works for me.

I found that when I start my Z from a cold start, the rpms shoot up to 2000 rpms, they drop down to 1500-1750 rpms for a few seconds, and then back up to 2000 rpms. After a few minutes the rpms slowly lower to the 1000 range as the engine warms. What I noticed is that when the rpms dip down for the few seconds, the exhaust sounds similar to when it bucks. So, my solution is to just tap the gas pedal for a brief second when the rpms begin to dip to bring them back up to the ~2000 range. It'll stay at 2000 and then slowly go down as the engine warms. No more bucking.

Let me know if it works for you...

I will have to check some of these solutions, but I don't recall mines doing the same things. It just happens to buck at the same range.

^^For me...no. Happens cold or warm. I did not notice at all until After the clutch and light weight flywheel. Maybe the flywheel made it more pronounced.
