I was on the highway today, and in my rearview mirror there was a MB S55 on my tail. I tried to accelerate away from him to no avail. He changed lanes and went around me like i was standing still. Any suggestions on mods to challenge the S55 and M5's.

 

Good luck with the S55 that thing rated just under 500hp.

 

I figured as much with the S55, however i have a friend with an m5 and I would love to smoke him, he is so arrogant.

 

Was this on 405 near the airport?

I'm not sure if it's the same one but I've gotten a smilar experience.

A MB was tailgating me on 405 pretty closely... I got upset

So I downshifted to 4th (from 6th) and gunned it, thinking I can easily dust him.... but I couldn't shake him off.

Then he switched lanes and took off. As he passed me, I could see the S55 emblem......


It could've been the same one.

 

Not super fast off the line for a 500hp car- but once you get that 4300 lbs moving the car is brutal.

 

It happend on the fwy. It was maxing out its brutality!

 

Those are mid 12 cars. You will need a lot of mods to even keep up with that thing. It is a beast. The M5 has 400hp, and will do 13 flat/low 13's it has massive torque at all speeds so taking it from freeway speeds won't help. I would probably say that short of FI not much is really going to help.

 

All block and head work, exhaust, intake, headers. Everything you get has to make the most hp for that category like headers, etc. FI would be the best way though, so I agree with fanman.

Hell, the E55 does 0-60 in the mid 4 second range. My boss wants one bad!
