Are there any problems that I should be aware of when running headers and test pipes with and HKS exhaust. I plan on adding a vortech actually I have it in my garage I wanted to get the car upgraded first. It is all 2.5" pipes back.

WIll I lose power I heard that this might happen??

 

no problems, unless your car needs to pass a visual inspection

 

what kinda headers? the HKS true dual Ti's arent 2.5 inch pipes so I wouldnt go slapping 2.5 inch test pipes on...

 

You'll also need a tune...

 

plus one. i was 240 before tune and 270 after

 

What mods? Tuned with what?

i have 2.5 test pipes on my hks....whats the problem?

 

I don't have test pipes, but I have headers with Crawford HFC's. No problems or CELs for me.

If you use test pipes, you will/might throw some CE's and need to install some non-foulers... whether you install headers or not.

 

HKS Ti's pipe diameter is like 60mm...which is like 2 1/4 inches. there are better exhausts you could match up with 2.5 inch tests. unless of course youre looking primarily for sound & what not. you could free up 4 or 5 horses with a true dual 2.5 inch system.

but yeah what were your mods before you installed UTEC and got a tune baby killer?

 

i/e/h/tp/spacer and utec...was running 12.0 and richer AFR on the untuned pull that explains the gains
