+1 I think the rumors are more widespread than the actual amount of cars affected. Mine is a Feb build 2006 model which is a prime candidate for oil consumption. Yet it doesn't burn a drop. It would be acceptable if it burned say even half a quart every 1000 miles like my SS does but it simply doesn’t. The motors been flawless so far in 2 years of ownership.

If you're still unsure of what you have take a picture of the motor from above with the hood open and post it up. Its pretty easy to spot then.

To be honest~ Mine does consume @ 1/8 ~ 1/4 per 1000 miles. Not enough to qualify for a v2. I'm putting heads and cams in soon anyway, so while we have it apart, we're gonna build the short block as well.
