redline at 7k? if yes then it's a rev-up. But it's probably not because only the 35th anniversery and the track model were rev-ups in 2005

Here:
http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/to...ary-Z-350Z.htm

The same engine will also be available as standard equipment on the 2005 350Z Track model (6MT only), which also goes on sale in early 2005.

Why would you want a revup anyways, they have a oil consumption issues.

Mine doesn't, and even if it did, I would re-ring and go. There is more to a revup than oil consumption. Do a little reading before you post any more brain farts like that.

+1

And if you're going to dismantle the motor to re-ring it, might as well bore .20 over, with new pistons, rods, balance & blueprint.

If thats a sure solution to the oil consumption problem why the hell aren't the dealerships doing this instead of the V2 which still isnt a 100% fix.

Because dealers don't touch imternals anymore, they even try to stear clear of short-blocks.

Also, it hasn't exactly been confirmed that the V2's aren't a fix, and who is to say what v2's did and didn't get different rings? until someone opens one up or someone can get there hands on a fast catalog for the m?z? part# engine than it's all speculation.

Forgot to add though, I wasn't saying the rings aren't the cause, because they are.
