Keep in mind that this is my opinion.

Intake - Injen

Exhaust - Borla

Engine Components - There are no great parts yet.

Welcome to the site, I hope this helps.

ls there a way that l can get different rear end gear ratios? l used to have a Mustang and this is the most common modification. Has anyone here ever done that to their Z? l'm thinking about stepping it up to 4.10.....

I think the general consensus was that first gear on the Z would become way to short with lower gears in the rear since it is already pretty short. This just doesn't seem to be a popular mod in the traditional domestic sense in the import world.

ah hah....somebody is out there who thinks gearing.......am i right about the stock final gear??? 357??....where do you suggest i look for availability of different rear gears for the z......btw...slush box...is 60.s lingo for automatic transmission.......very low rear end ratios with an auto trans would turn the z into a rocket......ive been there I know....

Ha! I know the lingo but couldn't figure out the language. Anyways, like I was saying, I think you will have an extremely difficult time finding gears for the trans or the rear in this car. The gears are right there in the mid 3.5 range like a 3.53 or so. The auto has a 3.27 I think. Can't remember exactly although you can google it.

Definitely... 1st gear is already slightly annoying to me. You are revving the hell out of the engine before you know it! 1st is my least favorite gear next to 6th. 3rd is my fav. It pulls long and hard (insert **** pun here) and I really like the sound of the building revs from my Borla out of this gear!!
