I was sitting in the garage today with the key on but car not running. And noticed that my throttlebody was making a high pitched whine. Everything seems to work ok. Is this normal and i just never noticed it before??

 

Have the same noise on my 07.

thats normal, mine does it also. it happens when the throttle is partially open

 

The TB is controlled by (PWM) Pulse Width Modulation. Its a signal from the ECU that can emit high frequency noise in electric motors.

mine does this whine noise when i put car in a gear when the engine is off with the key on. i noticed this yesterday when installing my aem truboost. if cars in neutral no electric noise. if cars in gear both the throttle body and the boost pressure solenoid make a electrical whine..weird
