it seems like recently there has been an influx of retards posting retarded arguments and fighting over the most retarded things, I love the Z whether its an DE or HR. They both are fun to drive bottom line. In an apples to apples comparison the HR>DE but who cares? Oh i forgot the person who post proof against his own argument, thats who. By the way that stock list should have lower times than half the HR bolton list because already posted most on the bolt on list only had intakes and they LOSE power.

These DE vs HR threads are ridiculous. The HR is a newer engine, and as such it should be a better engine from the factory. What would that say about Nissan if they made a new version of the VQ and it sucked?
Time will tell which is better for modification, but out of the box the HR has a higher compression ratio and higher redline, and the HR exhaust and intake manifolds look to flow a whole lot more air, which all add up to more power under the curve. It strikes me as pretty simple, not sure why there seems to be a constant debate.

i think her arguement is saying that the HR does not OWN.
or
Ownage- being way faster..
stock hr = Revup De intake/cats/5/16sp&mrev
On street where it really counts. haHa
it was basically neck and neck till i hit 4th
and i pulled a bit. however i could not tell how much tho. but i was ahead.
ownage to me is at least 5 cars on street
time will tell on much ownage will become FACT.
For example the upcoming mods.
what if tune only makes 1-2 hp
or it might make 10-15hp who knows
but ownage i think not. better engine of course

gothchick you are a tard.
ZOMG MY BOLTON PWNS ALL HR'S CAUSE THEY SUCK SO MUCH OMG LOOK AT THOSE TIMESLIPS MODDED DE PWNZ DEM STOCK HR'S BY SO MUCH.
The fact of the matter is, DE motors will need plenty of bolt ons to put down times that are similar or better to stock HR's.
Whats more important is that when HR's get simliar bolt-ons availible to DE's (Cams, pullies, tune etc) they will be far superior to DE's with simliar mods.

Wow, Gothchick let it go. The HR is simply faster. And they're right, mod for mod they'd be faster too. While I'll refrain from details, I had an encounter with an 07 some weeks ago. He was stock, I'm clearly not. It was a dead empty highway, and sprint to 100. I couldn't shake him. It was dead even.
Now that's me with a handful of mods (plenum, exhaust, intake, timing advance, and 60lbs weight reduction) against a STOCK HR. Now imagine how badly owned a stock Z would get. Just let it go.

Heck, it's all in fun. I was just having a little fun with you guys by posting time slip after time slip showing the HR doesn't "own" anything. Maybe someday it will, but today it doesn't. :-)
Let the timeslips speak for themselves. BS walks and timeslips talk. Lol~
For you HR guys that got your egos hurt, just post a better timeslip (if you can). Problem solved.
I've had the pleasure of going up against two HRs so far. One from a roll of 20mph to 100ish, and another from a roll of 70mph to about 140ish. I had no trouble walking both of them by 2+ car lengths. I have no idea what mods they had if any.
But again, only timeslips are verifiable. So let's stick to that.
And no - Youtube, Streetfire, and our little "fast & furiouz" racing stories are not verifiable! :-)

Wow, hard to believe someone has such a hard time belieiving the HR is superior to the DE.
I've seen it first hand. I remember the day a member over at g35driver, someone who I drag with as often as I can with, took an 07 G35 Sedan loaner to the drag strip (yes, I said a loaner ). His time on the 07 Sedan (VQ35HR) matched the time of his 05 G35 Coupe 6MT with full bolt-ons. Yes, this was on the same track, with very similar conditions.

Fun but making yourself look stupid? They to talk, and they do show the HR being faster. EOD.
And guess what, I am stock and I have ran several 03-06 350Zs modded and left all of them.
