NA Stroker? 100mm Bore? Both??
I'm curious if anyone has ever put together a normally aspirated (NA) oversize VQ35. I've read through a lot of posts and searched, but never found anyone with either a bored or stroked NA motor.
Has anyone ever done it? ...any info on it?

I went with a 100mm bore and an 86.4mm stroke. The delay in this project has been due to me reorganizing some priorities with the entire build of this car. I will be ordering a few more parts soon and I shall have the motor completed rather shortly.
Our engine builder actually has informed me that its taken him a lengthy amount of time just to bore out everything to spec. He calls me regularly to give me updates on how much aluminum is on his shop floor.

I'm still thinking about building an NA stroker motor, but I don't necessarily want to be a pioneer... they're the guys with arrows in their backs.
I just have this feeling that once someone builds an NA 4.15L or 4.2L motor they will become very popular. It would have to be a blast to drive... I'm just trying to get information, too...

Does the 86.4mm stroke let you keep the oil squirters?

That sounds pretty nice there. I would love to do a big stroker motor myself, I think im going to hold off tho until we hear further information on the VK56 swap that JT is doing.

Haha... Those guys are never happy...

Edit: From their website:
86.4mm stroke req. block clearancing & removing piston squirters. Plugs incl.

The exact phrase our engine builder used when referring to how much estimated whp was "substantially more than Adam's" . He also said that I should be redlining approximately 1k lower than Adam's motor as my motor will not need high revs in order to make power. As a matter or fact my motor will probably make less than optimal power at higher revs (8K+). I choose Tomei 280s for my Cam selection.

hahaha so substantially is like...15%...lol and way more torque. kinda figured you wouldnt be able to make it run to 8400 with the longer stroke but yeah, that thing will be a blast to drive and at 4.2 liters with 280 degree cams...it'll sound like a racer ^_^ runnin tighter gears out back?
